What is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?
Posted by Cynch | 0 comments | 5:46 PMLabels: What is Carpal Tunnel
I will just give the definition in my own words and in the way I understand it. First, what is carpal tunnel. It's part of the wrist, coz there are small bones that make up the wrist and it looks like a tunnel. Right beside those small bones is the median nerve - it's like the nerve where sensor signals from the hand to the brain goes to. They want to be specific I guess, that's why they called it Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Wrist pain = Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
I'm on the computer and the internet a lot and I have also been working using a computer for several years now. I just didn't really minded my wrist until it became really apparent that something is wrong. The mouse I'm using is not ergonomic so it isn't healthy for my wrist. My fingers and elbow are making bone cracking noises. I knew I had to do something. I searched the net and found information and also basic exercises that I can try on my own.
Those exercises helped me a lot and I try to do them in between my breaks from the computer or whenever I like to them. I found two websites that are very helpful. These are only basic exercises as in super basic but you will really feel the difference on your wrist and shoulders when you finished them. One of the website I highly recommend is this one. Please note that you will need to give out your e-mail address on this one.
neways, here's the website for exercises shown in a video -> click here
If you are ok with really really silly exercises then you can try out this website. It's fun :) -> click here
